Cadets Canada
The Cadet Program provides opportunities for youth to gain valuable knowledge and skills that build confidence and help pave the way in a transition to adulthood. Cadets engage in varied and unique experiences, while developing competencies in leadership, citizenship, and physical and mental fitness. Offering positive youth development programs, sea, land and air cadet corps and squadrons are in communities across Canada. In addition to their core training, cadets have the opportunity to enrich their experience by participating in our optional music programs, including the Military Band (Brass & Reed), and Pipe Band programs. Through these musical endeavors, cadets can achieve individual musicianship levels, paving the way for them to become instructors for their fellow cadets. Our music programs rely on the expertise of dedicated individuals, both civilians and Canadian Armed Forces Reservists, who possess a knowledge of music. These professionals play a crucial role in our organization and receive pay for their valuable contributions. They take on various responsibilities, such as leading local corps/squadron bands, delivering virtual music theory classes, conducting weekend lessons and masterclasses, and providing essential support for our annual band competitions. Come speak to our staff at our booth to find out more about the Cadet Program and ways to get involved! |
